Social Justice- Unity is Strength

I've decided to share some of the vinyl that I have collected over the years. This is the only album ever recorded by the band Social Justice. They were a straight edge band from Sylmar, California that played out for a while in 1989-1990. I remember seeing them play with Guttermouth, Face to Face, and HFL (Hard, Fast, and Loud) in 1990. The singer kept referring to everyone as being a rapist and druggies. Then Mark, the singer for Guttermouth, got on stage and starting making fun of him. Some friend of the guy from Social Justice grabbed the mic out of Mark's hand and said, "Fuck you, motherfucker." This led to a bum rush of dudes kicking his ass in the middle of the dance floor. All of this ocurred at a club in L.A. called the Anti-Club. It was an old house that had been converted into a club. It had a pretty cool vibe to it and had some decent bands come in and play over the years. It was run by this crazy old lady who had assisted me in being thrown out years before. Anyway, the band was pretty good. Good enough that I sought out their only release and bought it at Bionic Records in Cypress. These guys went on to change their name to Downset and release some pretty awful rap-core stuff. Anyway, here is "Unity is Strength by Social Justice.

formed in 88 in South Gate. Moved to Sylmar in 89. Played till 92. That show at anti-club was in 1991. I remember Mark jeering Ray from SJ, then the guitarist from Stickman grabbed him and the graff crew that was there finished it pretty quick. Also played: Guttermouth, HFL and Face to Face. I wanna say the owners name was Ren?
